Holá, I'm Aliyu

I'm a cybersecurity professional with over 8 years of experience helping organizations build secure software. Currently, I work as an Application Security Engineer, where I make security a natural part of how we develop software.

I'm passionate about solving complex security challenges and making security accessible to everyone. Whether I'm integrating security tools into development pipelines or running workshops for engineering teams, my goal is to make security feel collaborative rather than intimidating.

I'm particularly proud of co-founding CyBlack, a non-profit that's helped create over 600 internships and 150+ job placements for ethnic minorities in cybersecurity. I also founded Fezzant, where we're making the web more accessible and secure for everyone.

When I'm not working on security challenges, you'll find me contributing to open-source projects and serving on the advisory board of The Cyber Helpline, supporting cybercrime victims. I believe cybersecurity works best when it's inclusive, collaborative, and human-centered.
